This stunning 1 kilo Silver coin features a design of the Sun Stone of the Aztec Calendar on the reverse in spectacular detail. 999 1 KG PURE SILVER FINENESS.
In the center of the obverse is a sculptural relief of the National Shield, encompassed by the legend "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS" (UNITED MEXICAN STATES). Surrounding this along the edge of the coin are reproductions of different national coats of arms used throughout Mexico's history. This coin comes with several accessories including a laser-etched timber case and steel stand designed specifically to house and display the coin. I wanted to display the coin in my office in its natural state, so I removed the NGC slab and displayed the coin in its display case for about a year.
I have occasionally wiped down and cleaned tarnish from the coin. It is still in good condition and will make a nice display, or it can be held simply as an investment in 1 kilo of pure silver (32.15 troy ounces). Mint Mark: Mo - Mexico City.
