The Mint of Poland has struck this proof silver coin for the Island of Niue - completely spherical! The design is extraordinary, showing a seamless image of the world! In effect, this is a small silver globe. The design of the world is based off of the beautiful XVII-century hand-drawn map created by Dutch Cartographer Willem Janszoon Blaeu. This captures both the past and the present in this incredible design! To commemorate the 7 new wonders of the world, this coin was made from 7 oz.

While much smaller than you may expect, you will be surprised with its solid weight in your hand! The entire design is extremely detailed, and is the perfect representation of a globe.

You can spend hours studying every tiny detail of this intricate creation! The location of each &###xE2;&###x153;new&###xE2;&###x9D; wonder of the world is shown with a special Swarovski Element - a dark grey crystal, embedded in the silver. The top and bottom of the coin act as the obverse and reverse of the coin.

The top is inscribed with &###xE2;&###x153;SEVEN DOLLARS&###xE2;&###x9D; and &###xE2;&###x153;AG 999 7 OZ. &###xE2;&###x9D; The bottom is inscribed with &###xE2;&###x153;NIUE ISLAND&###xE2;&###x9D; and &###xE2;&###x153;2015. &###xE2;&###x9D; Around the middle of the design is inscribed &###xE2;&###x153;SEVEN NEW WONDERS OF THE WORLD. Interestingly enough, this coin does not bear an image of Queen Elizabeth II on this coin, like all other Niue coins.
