The obverse of this coin displays the face value. This side also shows the emblem of Palau, which is an underwater scene. The purity of this coin is inscribed near the top of this side.
The reverse was made to look like a pirate skull. Even the shape of the coin was designed to match this. The skull has a bandanna to make it look even more like a pirate.
