The coin commemorates what was not only a coup in space exploration but also an important American victory in the Space Race against the Soviet Union.

Part of a mintage of just 7,500 pieces, this coin was struck from 1 oz of. 9999 fine silver and bears a "P" mint mark on the reverse.

Moving Footprint Design by Lucas Bowers. A portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark dominates the obverse. The monarch faces right with her shoulders open to the holder.

On her head is her Royal Diamond Diadem, the same crown that she wore at her coronation. Her name, "ELIZABETH II, " joins "AUSTRALIA" on the top half of the rim frame. The reverse, which was designed by Lucas Bowers, features a powerful image of a footprint on the lunar module, a symbol of man's remarkable achievement. The lunar module is also included.

Perfect PF70 UC FR with Black Core Holder and Charlie Duke Signed label. Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) certified that this coin is in perfect condition as seen under 5x magnification by awarding it their highest grade, Proof 70.

The grading company further indicated that the coin was submitted for grading no more than 30 days after its initial release from the mint by certifying it First Releases and that it bears particularly sharp contrasts between heavily frosted devices and deeply mirrored fields by labeling it Ultra Cameo. The coin comes set in a black core holder, and the label was signed by the tenth man to walk on the moon Charlie Duke.
